Mental health concerns are just as prevalent within our church communities and there are often times when it may be necessary to connect church members with qualified mental health support. Seasons of Hope Psychotherapy works with Shalem Mental Health Network, connecting church members with short-term counselling, as well as being part of the Focus on the Family Canada Counsellor Referral Program, having signed their statement of faith. Seasons of Hope Psychotherapy has a desire to see the church community thrive and live in good mental health through a biblically-based perspective.
Christian Counselling Approach
Amongst Christian Counsellors, it can be difficult to understand whether their approach aligns with individual belief systems. At Seasons of Hope Psychotherapy, we believe that the Bible is the basis of Truth and that it is our manual for living a thriving life regardless of the setbacks and struggles that we will inevitably face. As such, we use the word of God as the basis for Christian Counselling to help clients understand how their struggle fits into their faith journey. As psychotherapy is first and foremost a clinical endeavour, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory, and a Person-Centred approach are heavily relied on as they are well-aligned to the Christian perspective.
Virtual Christian Counselling
We know that it can be hard to find a good-fit therapist to begin with, let alone one who can speak to one of the most influential and all-encompassing aspects of life, your Christian perspective. Virtual Christian Counselling makes it easier than ever to connect with a therapist who aligns with your faith.

"Along with being a Registered Psychotherapist, I am also a born-again believer who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. I engage in daily spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading and prayer and believe in the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide my decisions including therapy sessions. Throughout my life, my own struggles and setbacks have allowed me the opportunity for growth, resilience, and an evolving faith as I have questioned and sought out Truth in the word of God through these experiences. I want to bring this hope to therapy sessions for my Christian clients as well so that they too can find deeper meaning and mature faith through their struggles."
